About

SP Executive Coaching is a project of The Social Enterprise and sister company Ashben Ltd, and is focused on providing affordable access to Systems Psychodynamic Executive Coaching, in particular (though not exclusively) to those working in the social sector in the UK.

The project is currently led by David Russell, Founder and Director of The Social Enterprise, who conducted his coaching training at the Tavistock Clinic and is currently coaching leaders from national and international charities, social enterprises, business and the NHS. It is delivered in collaboration with WRKWLL, a partnership of social sector professionals united by a desire to drive social change, of which David is a partner.

Recent clients are leaders from organisations including GoodGym, Point of Care Foundation, MND Association, West London Zone, The Bike Project, New Israel Fund, Shared Assets, World Green Buildings Council, Mary Ward Centre, Royal Free Hospital, Anne Frank Trust UK, Youth First, Jaguar Land Rover, Department of Business Enery and Industrial Strategy, Toast Ale, The Reader, Young Minds, The House of St Barnabas and Unilever.

Since 2014, David has principally been consulting with Unilever, and Survivors Fund (SURF), a UK-based international charity, the work of which he directed for five years. He is a mentor on the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship programme of the Royal Academy of Engineering, currently working with academics from Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as Chair and Trustee of several international charities. David has an MPA from New York University, and MA from Christ’s Collage, Cambridge University, and is a Clore Social Fellow and NYU Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship.

He is accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council to Senior Practitioner level, having conducted his training at the Tavistock Clinic. His coaching work is bound by the EMCC Code of Ethics.
